Grapes

We finally got around to weeding the grape vines. They have a long way to go, but at least we are headed in the right direction.

We always use lots of grapes. Steve makes wine to give to his friends and I make jelly. Nothing is as good as a butter biscuit with homemade grape jelly.

As warmer weather finally arrives, we have so many chores to catch up on we won’t be done until fall. Sometimes I think winter snow will be blowing and I still won’t be caught up. That’s ok. I read a cute post today that said “Dirt tired:  a condition that occurs after spending the whole day in the garden”.  After working all day at the farm and in the garden Sunday we were DIRT tired, but smiling. I try to get people to understand that it isn’t really work. I am outside on a piece of land that I love and spending my day with my family. What can be better than that?
